Question by SueyN: Will a Tuscan Chandelier look harmonious with my Chippendale furniture?
My furniture is not all chippendale; it’s mixed with Queen Anne.
I saw a chandelier at Home Depot that was Tuscan. The rod iron was brown with a wash of yellow. It’s a formal chandelier and my furniture is formal, but I just need a “it’s okay to mix” this with your furniture? This chandelier would be in my split entry foyer. I’d tell anyone who asked me it’s okay, but I am very anal about my decorating.

It’s ok to mix.
It is imperative to mix, actually, or your home will end up looking like a furniture store display. And, formal with formal is always in style.

because chippendale style uses simple straight lines, it would look great with Tuscan.
It would be a little more difficult to match Tuscan with Queen Anne without clashing.
As long as you stay with the formal feeling with both, yes, you can mix the two.
But hey, you’re talking to someone who wears pearl necklaces with jeans and actually recovered a Queen Anne chair with fake lepoard fur and stained the wood gold….!
What can I say… I’m an eclectic artist at heart…!
And hey, if you really don’t like it once you’ve put in the chandelier, Home Depot has a great return policy so you can stop being anal…
Go with what makes you feel good in decorating!
As long as the furniture and the chandelier are similar in style and level of formality you should have no problem. I would also recommend that the background color (i.e. your walls) be lighter than the chandelier to produce vivid contrast. This can also be done between table and chandelier but is more difficult to gauge without professional help (you didn’t link to the chandelier or the furniture).
